Letter of the President

2025 confirmed the extent to which our sector is required to operate within a complex and rapidly evolving environment. Geopolitical tensions, volatility in energy and raw material markets, together with the evolution of the European regulatory framework on packaging, have made it even more evident that industrial resilience, innovation capability and a long-term vision must go hand in hand. Against this backdrop, Gualadispensing continued to pursue its growth path, strengthening the role of sustainability as an integral part of the Group’s strategic choices.

For us, sustainability means designing today the solutions that the market and regulations will require tomorrow. It is a commitment that runs through research and development activities, production decisions, resource management and dialogue with customers and suppliers. In this respect, the new European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, the so-called PPWR, represents a decisive step: not merely a set of requirements to comply with, but also an incentive to rethink materials, processes and models of collaboration.

The results achieved in 2025 confirm the consistency of this journey. Sales from sustainable products exceeded 93% of the total, consolidating a trajectory that, in recent years, has progressively transformed our product portfolio. We also recorded significant progress on the environmental front: 27% of the electricity purchased from the grid comes from renewable sources, and total CO² emissions decreased by 22% compared with 2024. These achievements do not represent an end point, but rather a concrete foundation from which to continue improving.

A significant example of this evolution is AUREA, the aluminium capsule compatible with Nespresso® systems. Through this project, we have broadened our technological scope, developing a solution based on a material alternative to plastic and building new industrial expertise in a highly technical field. AUREA reflects the Group’s commitment to investing in innovation, exploring new market opportunities and responding in an increasingly comprehensive way to our customers’ needs in terms of performance, quality and sustainability.

The Sustainability Report presents this journey in greater depth, also highlighting the contribution of our people, the quality of our plants, our relationship with customers and our ties with the communities in which we operate. These are different yet closely connected dimensions, reflecting our understanding of growth: a process built on responsibility, shared expertise and attention to the impacts we generate.

We look to the years ahead with awareness and confidence. It is in this spirit that we will continue to develop increasingly sustainable packaging solutions, strengthening Gualadispensing’s role as a reliable and responsible partner for our customers.
