Guala Dispensing latest tests validated a content of recycled material up to 70% in its trigger sprayer platforms.
Using PCR raw material is one of the latest challenges sustainability has posed in the plastic industry. Guala Dispensing included PCR materials in various trigger sprayers, in varying percentages depending on technical feasibility.
PCR materials are darker and not as bright as virgin ones, which makes it particularly difficult to obtain certain colors. With remarkable effort, the Guala Dispensing team was able to fine-tune the process to obtain a range of colours in different hues for the TS5 platform, while maintaining its functional properties.
Introducing PCR materials is even more complex when it comes to aggressive chemical formulas, as in new platforms the act of spraying puts the liquid in direct contact with most components. Our R&D team is constantly focusing on finding a solution that is both functional and ecological.
We continue to carry out tests to further increase the use of recycled material in our product portfolio, in the firm conviction this is one of the most strategic choices we can make to foster sustainability.
